Xpheria was founded in 2003 and worked with major clients including New York Stock Exchange. Xpheria designed and implemented the stock exchange's trade surveillance data grid platform. At NYSE the analytics and market surveillance platform could never be down and there were daily challenges with processing, storing, and scaling data, forcing them to write their own software and data mining to handle Big Data surveillance challenges. It was in these trenches that the team built high performance computing solutions on top of distributed commodity hardware. This was the start of Xpheria's Big Data technology solutions.
The company was founded to harness the power of virtualized infrastructure, like Cloud, for more efficiency, to scale horizontally, and to make operations easier, like regulation, advanced analytics, ETL, enterprise data management, and real-time event monitoring. Xpheria helps very large organizations quickly deploy massively scalable solutions using open source and commodity infrastructure.
